Interlaken is located right in the center of Switzerland, between the Thun (German: Thunersee) and Brienz (German: Brienzersee) lakes. The name of this fabulous town can be translated as "between the lakes". Crystal-clear mountain streams, rattling waterfalls, impetuous rivers and deep blue lakes are the integral part of Interlaken as well as its suburbs. The first is, captivating horse trips around the city.

There are also several attractions in the city that one can visit, including Jungfrau tourism museum (which occupies the restored XVII century house) and the Train museum with more than 40 miniature train models that go along 430 metres of permanent way.

Motor ship cruises over Thun and Brienz lakes are definitely a must. The water is rather cold here - however, the beauty of local nature is just indescribable.

You can also try a train rise on the Jungfrau mountain and a funicular railway lift from the Interlaken Ost to the Harder Kulm station. The latter will give you a chance to walk along the wildlife Alpine park and enjoy a stunning view over Interlaken.
